Business Development/Account Manager

Emerge Interactive (http://www.emergeinteractive.com) is a full service Interactive Agency looking for an enthusiastic business development/account manager (full-time) to join our team. Our creative headquarters are located in the heart of Portland, OR.

As a Business Development/Account Manager you would work to build positive relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities, and ensure that Emerge Interactive stays competitive in its field and on top of all new and prospective service and product trends.

Job Description:

Develop and maintain business relationships.  Manage sales pipeline.  Develop and execute tactical sales strategy for the company’s targeted clients. 

Strategic Roles:

Provide strategic direction and leadership on brand, client and partner initiatives.  Work collaboratively with the executive leadership team on the evolution of business processes, dedication to exceptional customer experiences and quality results.

Operational Roles:

Act as a steward for the Emerge brand.  Work with executive leadership to identify new relationships and grow existing ones.  Lead new business pursuits, independently or with Emerge staff.  Pursue and/or receive initial contact with new business inquiries.  Work collaboratively with clients, developing a strong understanding of each clients and audiences’ needs, scope of work, and key success factors.  Generate and maintain contacts and resources.  Contribute to the scoping of new business opportunities and delivering proposals/contracts.  Provide guidance in project and account planning.  Participate in networking events during and after business hours as necessary and off-site meetings that may require overnight travel.  Keep accurate client data in Salesforce. 

Skills:

  • 5+ years of business development in agency environment, digital agency a plus
  • Ability to quickly establish personal relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Ability to translate business problems into creative and technical solutions
  • Resourceful, accountable and flexible
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Aggressive and proactive approach to sales
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
